How we work together

No surprises on scope, cost or ownership. Here is how a project with Emberoot runs, in plain words.

What you can count on

A written scope first

Before any work starts you get the scope, timeline and price in writing. Nothing is billed that is not in it.

Progress you can see

Working software or finished work every week, not a status report.

Changes agreed before they happen

If plans change, you get a short note with the effect on time and cost, and you decide.

You own what you pay for

Code, designs, documents and accounts are yours once the work is paid for, set up in your name from day one.

Running costs in the open

Hosting, tools and ad spend are paid by you, directly to the provider, so you always see the real cost.

Straight talk on results

We promise the work and an honest account of what is working. We never promise rankings or revenue.

How a project runs

  1. Free

    A 30-minute call

We listen, ask questions and tell you honestly if we are the right team.

  2. Within a week

    A written proposal

Scope, timeline, price and payment schedule. You approve it before anything starts.

  3. Start

    Deposit and kick-off

Your deposit reserves the team's time. Accounts are set up in your name.

  4. Every week

    Show the work

A demo or finished work every week. Milestone invoices follow agreed steps.

  5. Handover

    Yours to keep

Code, logins and documents handed over, with 30 days of free fixes for anything not working as agreed.

Money, plainly

  • A deposit before work starts, then payments tied to milestones you can see
  • Monthly plans billed at the start of each month, cancel with 30 days' notice
  • Taxes added where they apply, shown on every invoice
  • If an invoice runs late, work pauses rather than piling up
  • Third-party costs paid by you, directly to the provider
  • If you need to stop, you pay for work done to that point

The fine print

Everything above is set out properly in our terms of service, including ownership, confidentiality, fixes and limits of responsibility. Your proposal can adjust any of it for your project.

Common questions

Do you sign NDAs?

Yes. We keep client information confidential by default under our terms, and we are happy to sign your non-disclosure agreement before the first detailed conversation.

What if I want to change the scope halfway?

That is normal. We send a short change note showing the effect on time and cost. Nothing changes until you approve it, and small adjustments that fit the agreed time are absorbed.

Who owns the code and designs?

You do, once the work is paid for. Accounts such as hosting, domains and app stores are set up in your name from the start, so there is nothing to transfer later.

What happens if something breaks after launch?

Anything that does not work as agreed is fixed free within 30 days of handover. After that, a care plan covers updates and fixes, or we quote for the work.

Can we stop the project?

Yes. Either side can end a project with 14 days' notice. You pay for work done to that point, and you keep everything completed and paid for.

Tell us what you are trying to build.

A thirty-minute call, no charge. If we are not the right team for it, we will tell you and point you to someone who is.
