This page lists the cookies and similar browser storage the Emberoot website uses, what each one does and how long it lasts. It sits alongside our privacy policy.
The short version
- We only use what the site needs to work.
- We do not run advertising or third-party analytics today.
- If we add analytics later, it stays off until you say yes in the cookie banner.
- You can change your choice at any time with Cookie settings, also linked at the bottom of every page.
Essential cookies and storage
These keep the site working and remember choices you have made. They cannot be switched off from the banner, but you can delete them in your browser settings.
| Name | What it does | Type | How long |
|---|---|---|---|
er_consent | Remembers your cookie choice so we do not ask again on every page. | Cookie, first party | 180 days |
er-theme | Remembers whether you picked the light or dark look. | Browser storage, never sent to us | Until you clear it |
theme-mode | Set by our website theme to keep the light or dark look consistent while pages load. | Cookie, first party | Session or until you clear it |
wordpress_*, wp-settings-* | Only set if you log in to the site’s admin area. Visitors never get these. | Cookie, first party | Session up to 1 year |
Analytics cookies
None at the moment. If we add a tool to count visits, we will list it here first, it will only load after you choose Accept all or switch on Analytics in Cookie settings, and we will set it to keep data as short a time as the tool allows.
Marketing cookies
None. We do not run advertising pixels on this website. If that ever changes, they will stay off unless you switch them on.
Fonts and other outside services
Our fonts are served from our own website, not from an outside font service, so loading a page does not share your IP address with a font provider. Links to other websites, such as our partner brands, only take you there when you click them. If you choose a language under Translate this page in the language menu, the page opens through Google Translate on a Google address, so Google receives the page you are reading and your visit. Nothing is sent to Google unless you choose a language. Our own pages in Hindi, Arabic, Spanish, French and German are served from this website.
Do Not Track and Global Privacy Control
If your browser sends a Global Privacy Control signal, we treat it as a “Reject optional” choice and do not show you the banner.
How to change or withdraw your choice
Use Cookie settings at any time. Withdrawing consent is as easy as giving it, and it does not affect anything that happened before you changed your mind. You can also clear cookies in your browser; the banner will then ask again.
