What does Emberoot do?
We are a consulting and development studio. We help founders and growing businesses decide what to build, then build it with them: strategy and go-to-market, websites, mobile apps, web apps and SaaS, automation, technology advice and digital marketing.
Who do you work with?
Founders and growing businesses around the world. Most clients come to us with a product to launch, a website or app to build, or a process that is eating too much of the team’s week.
How does a project start?
With a thirty-minute call, at no charge. If we are a good fit, we send a written scope covering what is included, what is not, the timeline and the price. Work starts only after you agree to it.
Do you work remotely?
Yes. We work with clients around the world remotely, and schedule calls in your working hours, India or Gulf time.
How quickly will you reply to an enquiry?
Within one working day. Send a few lines through the contact page and we will suggest a time for a call.
Price, time and ownership
How much does a project cost?
We do not publish prices, because the work varies a lot between projects. Every project gets a written price in its scope before any work starts, so you know the cost before you commit.
How long does a project take?
It depends on the work. As a guide: strategy work takes 3 to 5 weeks, websites 4 to 10 weeks, a first app version 8 to 14 weeks, and a first SaaS version 3 to 5 months. Your timeline is agreed in the written scope.
What happens if the scope changes?
Changes are agreed before they are made. If something new comes up, we explain what it means for time and cost, and you decide.
Who owns the code and accounts?
You do. Accounts are set up in your name from the first day. Code, designs and documents are yours once the work is paid for, and we hand everything over.
How will I know how the project is going?
You see working software or finished work every week, not a status report.
Services and after launch
Can you act as our part-time CTO?
Yes. Technology advice covers tool and vendor selection, migration plans, hiring your first engineers, and part-time CTO support until you need a full-time one.
Do you offer support after launch?
Only if you want it. At handover you get everything you need to run the product yourself. If you would like us to stay on for support or further releases, we agree that separately.
Do you run your own businesses?
We build our own products, and we work closely with partner brands such as Earra, a UK jewellery brand, and Bhumima, an everyday goods brand. Working on real stores and products keeps us close to the problems our clients face.
